About Me

Aloha!

My name’s Joey Kido and I’m a knife maker and designer from Honolulu, Hawai‘i. I’ve always had a thing for tools that are both beautiful and built to last, and that’s exactly what I aim to create with every knife I make.

I’ve been lucky enough to learn from some of the best in the game—Ken Onion and Jeff Park. Working alongside them has taught me a lot, not just about how to make a great knife, but about the craft, the process, and the pride that goes into every piece.

For me, making knives is more than just shaping steel. It’s about creating something people can rely on—whether that’s in the kitchen, out in the wild, or just something you love to carry every day. My goal is to create knives that feel like an extension of you: sharp, reliable, and ready.

My custom knives are designed with intention— built by blending modern CNC precision and old school traditional craftsmanship to create high-quality, functional, and beautiful blades with consideration for the people who’ll use them. Living and working in Hawai‘i definitely influences my style—natural lines, strong edges, and a focus on real, functional beauty.

Thanks again for checking out my work. I look forward to sharing it with you!

Mahalo,
Joey Kido
